Eddie Walker earned a unanimous decision win again Adrian Miles August 9th at NFC 67 here in Atlanta Georgia. Walker took the fight a few weeks prior to the event due to his training mate, Warren Thompson, receiving an injury and having to pull out of the event. New coach Johan DeLeeuw suggested Walker take the fight which would be his first bout in his home town in over 2 years.
Word of the fight spread quickly with locals fans and left the muay thai / kickboxing industry wondering if Walker could break his 4 fight loosing streak.
“I know what the issues were and I’m satisfied that they are no longer there. It was a rough last half of 2013 and early part of 2014” he stated in a pre-fight interview with Muay Thai Authority.
Eddie Walker came out very confident in this fight. He spent the first round stalking and almost chasing a very nervous Adrian Miles who obviously came into the bout with the game plan to take out Walkers right leg. Walker showed great improvement in kick defense and responded with powerful kicks.
An active Adrian Miles came out in the second round before getting rocked by 2 back-to-back head kicks from Walker. Looking gassed, Miles continued charging and clinching Walker while taking multiple knees that left him folded over by the bell.
In the final round Adrian Miles continued charging into the clinch where he landed an elbow to the Top of Eddie Walkers head, turning the fight into a blood bath. The elbow war began! Walker continued using his powerful kicks to control the fight and landed a huge body shot at the 10-second mark.
Eddie Showtime Walker broke his loosing streak with a unanimous 28-29 win against and exhausted Adrian Miles. The bout left Walker with 7 stitched on top of his head, 5 stitches on his shin and a smile on his face.
Congrats to Eddie Walker, coach Johan Deleeuw and Andre Mannart on the win!
